This study evaluates the efficacy of a KRAS gene expression signature in lung adenocarcinoma. Implementing an 18-gene signature classifier on a new cohort of Korean patients, the results replicated the original study but highlighted demographic-specific variations. Notably, the independent cohort lacked distinct characteristics associated with the KL subgroup, suggesting that the original model may not generalize across different populations. These findings underscore the need for more robust gene expression models to predict lung cancer subtypes accurately and guide targeted therapies.
